Ruaha National Park has the distinction of being Tanzania’s largest national park. The park boundary was increased to its present size in 2008, when Usangu Game Reserve and surrounding wetlands were incorporated into the management of the national park’s jurisdiction.
This park encompasses Mount Kilimanjaro the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, as well as the tallest mountain on the African continent!
Tarangire National Park is not to be missed! This is a massive park that is also located on Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit but is often overlooked because of its close proximity to the more famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Parks.
This Kenyan national park along with the surrounding Maasai Ranches are collectively known as “The Mara.” The Mara Along with South Africa’s Kruger National Park,are the most globally famous safari locations on Earth!
Due to the enormous value of a Rhino’s horn, poachers have decimated both white and black rhino’s population throughout Africa. In the wild both species of rhinos is critically endangered.
Perhaps is the most famous national park on Earth! In fact, it is one of the few national parks in the world that has been declared as one of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Sites.
